To ensure you enjoy the beautiful fragrance, quality, and longevity of your Aurène Studio handcrafted candles, we recommend following these simple care instructions. Proper candle care will help your candle burn evenly, last longer, and maintain its luxurious fragrance experience.

First Burn – Setting the Perfect Burn

The first burn is the most important. Allow your candle to burn until the wax has melted evenly across the entire surface and reaches the edges of the vessel.

This usually takes approximately 3–4 hours and helps prevent tunnelling, ensuring an even melt pool and maximising the life of your candle.

Wick Care

Before each use, gently trim your wick to approximately 5mm.

A trimmed wick helps to:

  • Create a cleaner and more consistent flame
  • Reduce smoke and soot
  • Prevent excessive flickering
  • Extend the life of your candle

Recommended Burn Time

For the best candle performance:

  • Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time
  • Allow your candle to cool completely (approximately 2 hours) before relighting
  • Avoid burning your candle continuously for extended periods

Candle Safety

Your safety is important to us. Please always follow these candle safety guidelines:

🕯 Never leave a burning candle unattended
🕯 Keep candles away from children, pets, curtains, and other flammable materials
🕯 Always place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface
🕯 Avoid moving a candle while the wax is melted or the vessel is hot
🕯 Discontinue use when approximately 10mm of wax remains to prevent heat damage to the vessel

Candle Storage

To preserve the beautiful fragrance and appearance of your Aurène candle:

  • Store in a cool, dry place
  • Keep away from direct sunlight and heat sources
  • Keep the lid on when not in use to protect the fragrance and prevent dust buildup

  • Gently remove the wax melt piece from the bouquet when you are ready to use it.
  • Place the wax melt into a suitable wax warmer or burner.
  • Do not add water or other liquids.

For the best and safest experience:

  • Always use with a suitable wax melt warmer/burner
  • Never leave a wax warmer unattended while in use
  • Keep away from children, pets, and flammable items
  • Place your wax warmer on a stable, heat-resistant surface
  • Do not move the warmer while the wax is melted

Reusing Your Wax Melt

Each wax melt can be enjoyed multiple times until the fragrance has faded.

When the scent is no longer noticeable:

  • Allow the wax to cool completely
  • Remove the used wax from your warmer
  • Replace with a fresh Aurène wax melt
